This is a annual celebration and internationally observed on October 11. UCSF community members come together and share their stories of coming out.

Transgender Day of Remembrance will include a panel discussion as well as a reading of names memorializing lives we have lost as a result of transphobia.

An evening event to acknowledge the accomplishments of the LGBTQ Community at UCSF.

The Gay/Straight Dental Alliance (GSDA) enhances and enriches the climate for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) individuals and increases the visibility of these individuals in the School of Dentistry. The organizational mission is to work towards creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for LGBT students, staff and faculty, to educate and communicate issues specific to this group, and to prevent homophobia and discrimination of LGBT individuals in the school and in our student clinics.

The LGBTSA's goal is to promote advocacy for LGBT-related issues at UCSF, to foster community and provide networking for LGBT students, and to educate UCSF about the healthcare needs of LGBT patients.

The Graduate and Postdoc Queer Alliance works to build an active community of LGBTQI researchers at UCSF by hosting events for LGBT students, post-docs, and others. These events include social gatherings, career advancement, and mentorship opportunities. We also strive to increase visibility for LGBTQI researchers through our social media, publicity around the UCSF campus, and organized events, including our annual OUT In Science panel and the annual Welcome Picnic at the beginning of the Fall Quarter.

The Pediatric Diversity Committee is committed to recruiting and supporting pediatric residents, fellows, and faculty underrepresented in medicine, as well as fostering a culture that promotes and values diversity through community, education, training, and research.
